Why Do Carrollwood Yards Need Special Care?

Carrollwood started in the late 1950s when a developer turned orange groves near Lake Carroll into one of Tampa's first master-planned communities. Decades later, Original Carrollwood and Carrollwood Village are known for big lots shaded by mature oaks. That canopy is part of the charm, and it also means a lot of shade, leaf litter, and roots to plan around.
